What is coconut coir?

All hail the super fruit, the coconut. Coir is 100% natural fibre harvested from the husks of ripe coconuts. These naturally bouncy outer fibres of a coconut are designed to help protect the coconut when falling from the tree. Although it’s become the new "buzz word" in mattress design over recent years, it’s actually been used in parts of the world as bedding for many thousands of years!
