WHERE ARE YOUR PRODUCTS MADE?

All our mattresses & mattress protectors are expertly built and crafted in England. The entire manufacturing process is carried out in house - from raw materials, sewing & the distribution which enables us to have 100% quality & production control to ensure that you receive a truly special product that will last for years & beyond.

Our entire bedding range begins life as organically grown cotton plants where we follow the seed to sheet journey very closely.  The cotton plants are skilfully weft into fine knitted yarn, the yarn is knitted into our sumptuously soft & stretchy fabric that is carefully cut, sewn, folded & packed, all in rural Southern England. The entire supply chain is ethically audited.

Did you know that our beautiful baby blankets are sustainably produced? Our expert crafters use the cotton off cuts that are unavoidably left over after producing our premium organic fitted sheets. These off cuts are deconstructed and spun into new super-soft blanket yarns. Ensuring the planets precious resources are not wasted.

WHAT SAFETY CREDITATIONS DO YOUR MATTRESSES ADHERE TO?

It is our promise to provide the healthiest, safest and comfiest sleep environment for your baby & peace of mind to you as their parent. Each of our mattresses are manufactured by a dedicated & passionate team within England using the highest quality materials which are specifically designed & tested for the nursery industry.

All of our mattresses comply with the rigorous requirements of BS 1877 Part 10 for safety & performance and BS 7177 for flammability without the use of any antimony, phosphorous or arsenic based fire-retardant treatments.



HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY ORDER TO DISPATCH?

Standard dispatch & delivery across mainland UK & Northern Ireland is 7-14 days. This includes custom mattresses too.
Customers ordering from the places listed below will need to add additional delivery days:

• Highlands - 1 additional day. Orkneys and Shetland Islands - 3 additional days. Outer Hebrides - 4 additional days.

Our custom mattresses are dispatched within the same time frame as our standard stock mattresses; 7-14 days. Our custom fitted sheets however may take up to 14 days to produce & dispatch during busy periods, usually this is less and in keeping with our standard dispatch times of 7-14 days. We will advise upon confirmation of your order for a more accurate dispatch time.
We endeavour to dispatch your order within the fastest time frame possible. Our stock items are usually dispatched within 24 hours (1 business day).
If you have ordered multiple items, this may result in your items being dispatched in multiple parcels. We will send to you individual tracking numbers to reflect this. All parcels for your order will be dispatched to the quickest time frame possible and within our standard dispatch times unless otherwise stated.

HOW DO I ORDER A CUSTOM MATTRESS?

You can simply head to our 'build your own' section of our website, where you will be asked to enter the dimensions of the mattress you require. We custom build to any shape & any size, yes really! Once you have correctly entered your dimensions, we then ask you to choose a mattress filling from our choice of superior core options; nursery grade foam, springs, pocket sprung, pocket sprung & coconut coir or coconut coir & 100% organic sheep wool.

The price of your mattress will then be calculated, ready for you to checkout. Custom mattresses take between 7-14 days to build & dispatch.

No size or shape is too complex, we have extensive experience in oddly shaped mattresses from antique heirloom cots, custom built beds, campervan to yacht beds. Our highly skilled craftsmen can perfectly build your mattress requirements.

We often receive photographs of drawings that show the exact shape and measurements you are looking for, which is helpful for our production team in the building process. If you would like to send a photograph showing your mattress template to support your custom mattress order, please state your order number on an email with the attached images and send to: hello@thetinybedcompany.com

Alternatively, you can post a paper template of the mattress of the exact size and shape. Just contact our customer experience team for our address by emailing them on hello@thetinybedcompany.com

Due to strict safety guidelines, we are unable to change the mattress depth away from the standard brand recommendations. We advise that you leave absolutely no gap between the side of the Moses basket/crib/cot and the mattress, as per sleep safety guidelines advised by experts.

Sadly, your custom mattress cannot be cancelled once in production. Please ensure before ordering that your shape and specifications are correct, if you feel we need to know more about the specifications, shape or model then send all information with your order number to us via email: hello@thetinybedcompany.com

HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF OUR NEW MATTRESS?

All mattresses have their own easy to follow care guide, which we recommend reading through before setting up your mattress.
We have narrowed down some key tips below:

• Upon arrival remove the recyclable packaging & leave your mattress within a well-ventilated area for 4-6 hours allowing time to air & remove any odour caused by packaging.

• Rotate 180 degrees every 4 weeks to maintain its long-term supportive form

• To wash your mattress cover - remove the cover using the zip & either hand wash or machine wash (up to 60c) using a non-bio detergent & a low spin cycle. Stretch back into shape & air dry.

• Note: Our mattress covers are not suitable for tumble dryers or irons.

HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF MY BEDDING?

All our bedding products (fitted sheets, mattress protectors & blankets) have their own individual care labels to follow.

But generally speaking, we recommend washing at 30c or less to minimise fading or shrinkage. Wash our white bedding with other whites to maintain bright white colour. Tumble dry on a low heat (unless stated otherwise on the care label) or air dry naturally. Always follow the care label provided on the product itself to ensure correct instructions are followed.

HELP! I ORDERED THE WRONG SIZE; CAN I CHANGE MY ORDER?

Please get in touch with us as soon as possible after you have placed your order via the chat option on the home page of our website or via email hello@thetinybedcompany.com, we will respond to you as fast as possible.

Stock items

• For products that we hold in stock, we will be happy to amend your order, if your order has not been dispatched.

Mattress (standard size)

• We will be happy to correct the dimensions for you if your order has not been dispatched.

Mattress (custom made)

• We will be happy to correct the dimensions of your order if it has not gone into production. Once your order has begun the production process, we will unfortunately not be able to change any of the dimensions.

CAN I RETURN MY CUSTOM MATTRESS?

No, sadly we do not accept any returns of custom-made mattresses or custom-made fitted sheets as they are built on a made to order basis. Items that are purchased during a sale, custom made or at a discounted price, are not able to be returned or exchanged unless faulty. If there is an issue with a faulty product, we will replace it.

With this in mind, please ensure that you have entered the correct dimensions prior to placing your order.

WHAT AGE GROUP CAN YOU USE YOUR MATTRESSES?

Our mattresses are manufactured with materials which are specifically designed & tested for the nursery industry. As per the strict safety guidelines & recommendations that we adhere to, all the mattresses we build (custom & standard sizes) are suitable & safe for a new-born baby, toddler to child and beyond.
